Eklego is proud to be assisting a prestigious long-term care provider with their search for a Nurse Executive/Director of Nursing Operations in Lancaster County, PA.

The RN Nurse Executive/Director of Nursing Operations will be responsible for the overall management of the healthcare center nursing department (500 employees) and provide direct supervision/instruction to 15 direct reports (Assistant D.O.N's and Nurse Managers). The RN Nurse Executive/Director of Nursing Operations must be able to effectively communicate with the nursing department team as well as other departments to ensure quality care and effective teamwork. The RN Nurse Executive/Director of Nursing will work directly with the Nursing Home Administrator on overall QAPI objectives for the organization and identify areas of opportunity for improvement through analysis of data, observation of operations, and consultation with leadership and staff. 

Areas of focus for the RN Nurse Executive/Director of Nursing Operations include budget management, staff development, employee retention and morale while maintaining high quality standards (5 star rating) in a resident centered, clean and renovated community. Critical thinking skills and a non-profit mindset will lead culture, quality, team and budget initiatives and center of excellence protocols.



  • Current and valid RN License in PA
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing  
  • 7 or more years of recent nursing or clinical experience (including management level roles)
  • Current knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to long term care
  • CPR certification (prior to or upon hire)
  • Positive interpersonal skills
  • Strong written, oral and organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Preferred experience and/or skills include a Master's Degree in Nursing, DON or ADON experience, planning and budgeting skills, and knowledge of continuous quality improvement
