Eklego is seeking an RN Program Manager for our client's Assisted Living and Enhanced Assisted Living organization in Amherst, NY.

The current opportunity is a full-time position 

What will I do as a Program Manager?

  • Prepares the monthly schedules for the LPNs and coordinates proper staffing for the HHAs through review of availability sheets; preparation of monthly schedules; needs lists and weekly schedules updated daily, along with arranging for Agency coverage and sending the agency hours to a finance representative weekly.  All schedules are to be completed within budgeted hours and minimizing overtime and Agency usage. 
  • Checks daily MAR documentation and addresses any concerns with documentation in a timely manner and with appropriate corrective action, as needed. 
  • Makes daily rounds, as feasible, on all units and on periodic evening, weekend and night hours to ensure proper LPN and aide services are being provided on an on-going basis.
  • Ensures timely and professional communication to families, providers, campus and Garden House staff and the Administrator related to emails, phone calls and written and verbal communication received
  • Assumes on-call responsibilities, works additional shifts in order to meet staffing requirements.
  • Works closely with the Recruitment Agency and HR to identify vacancies/requirements; review candidates/interview/select for hire candidates for positions in a timely manner following all established protocols.  
  • Ensure DOH compliance of all Nursing paperwork per the established Garden House policies and procedures and expectations for ALR, EALR and SNALR.
  • Conduct regular formal meetings with the nurses and aides at intervals agreed upon between the Program Manager and the Administrator.

  • Displays solid nursing assessment skills
  • Writing Ability needed to complete corrective actions, policies, performance evaluations and perform daily written communication with families, outside community members and campus staff
  • Managerial and supervisory leadership experience
  • Ability to read regulations, policy manuals and training manual in order to become acclimated to the position
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
