Eklego is seeking a dedicated Director of Facility Services to work full time with the well-established and respected Masonic Villages, in Burlington, NJ. 

In this full-time leadership role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining all facilities and vehicles while meeting or exceeding Federal, State and local government regulations.

The Director of Facility Services will assist in managing the Maintenance Department.  Plan, organize, direct, and control the facilities management functions of the entire campus, including, but not limited to, planning, design, construction, alteration, operation and maintenance.  Provide direct oversight in the development of the campus long-range capital plan, as well as, management of capital construction projects, insuring maintenance groups and outside contractors are completing corrective, preventive, renovation, project and other work in a timely manner.  Ensures campus safety and leads the Safety Committee.  Conduct oversight and direct supervision of contracted work.  Recognize and address the need for facility personnel to provide oversight and quality checks on all construction and operationally related projects.

 Knowledge/Experience Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  2. A minimum of ten years of business experience in Facility Services Operations or a similar level of experience.
  3. Healthcare industry experience preferred.

 

Essential Functions:

  1. To plan, provide and maintain a quality facility with respect to the interior and exterior of the buildings, roads, grounds, tools and equipment to achieve a safe, sanitary and healthy living/working environment for residents and team members, and to provide residents with quality transportation, security, and maintenance services.
  2. Develop and manage the campus long-range capital plan, as well as, management of capital constructions projects, insuring maintenance groups and outside contractors are completing corrective, preventive, renovation, project and other work in a timely manner.
  3. Develop departmental, community and organizational goals/objectives, formulate and implement tools for training/evaluations and methods for follow-up.  Maintain accurate documentation and meet HR guidelines.
  4. Implement system and controls to achieve financial performance as established by the departmental budget.  This includes developing budgets and capital spending plans on an annual basis.
  5. Demonstrate technical and management knowledge, proficiency and initiative in achieving goals and meeting standards.
  6. Develop and oversee Individual Development Plans for each Manager/Team Leader and supports their growth and educational opportunities.
  7. Utilize a computer to maintain the energy management system, preventive maintenance system and payroll labor.  Train staff on the energy management computer system and the preventive maintenance computer system.
  8. Oversee the various tracking lists that monitor the completion of any construction projects and other operational maintenance issues.
  9. Lead all departmental team member functions, providing the facility with productive, responsive team members who are well trained and effectively managed.
  10. Serves as the Safety Officer/OSHA coordinator in the investigation of work related accidents and in developing programs and procedures to improve safety and insure compliance with OSHA  standards and guidelines.
  11. Reviews and updates emergency management plans as necessary and serves as liaison between Masonic Villages and local, county, state and federal emergency management agencies.  Plans, conducts and evaluates drills and exercises; table-top, functional and practical, as necessary under guidance and with the participation of local, county, state and federal agencies.
  12. Assist with inspections by Local, State and Federal Regulatory Agencies.  Have knowledge of all building, electrical and plumbing codes.
  13. Conduct oversight and direct supervision of contracted work, including both construction and operational contracts.  Recognize and address the need for facility  personnel to provide oversight and quality checks on all construction and operationally related projects.
  14. Independently manage the hiring, contacting, payment applications, and oversight of all facility projects less than or equal to $750,000 threshold, and, as assigned, projects with a higher threshold number.
