Eklego is proud to be assisting Shaker Place Rehabilitation and Nursing with their search for a Quality Assurance Coordinator in Albany, NY.
This community promotes an individualized care philosophy to help make aging easier. Their teams include registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants and social workers. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college with bachelor's degree in nursing, Nursing Administration, or closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse, included or supplemented by one (1) year of experience involving the auditing, examination or investigation of programs and services in a health-related setting; OR,
- Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an associate degree in nursing and five (5) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse, included or supplemented by one (1) year of experience involving the auditing, examination or investigation of programs and services in a health-related setting.
- Current and valid NYS Registered Nurse License
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Is responsible for the establishment and maintenance of a quality assessment and assurance program in the medical facility.
- Identifies and selects medical programs and services to be reviewed.
- Plans and develops criteria or methods and collection of data in accordance with professional standards and guidelines established.
- Reviews and evaluates clinical records, patient/resident complaints and suggestions and reports and any other documents which can affect the quality of life.
- Compiles and prepares documents and reports while involved with review and audits.
- Makes recommendations based upon audit findings to committee.
- Represents and attends various local and state meetings.
- Keeps abreast of current changes in rules, regulations and policies which affect quality of life in medical facility.
- Provides necessary follow-up to corrective actions and periodical assessment of results.
