Eklego is seeking dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse Supervisors to join a team of nursing professionals working at a beautiful Long-Term Care Community conveniently located in Manheim, PA. Our client offers competitive pay and provides a friendly, family-like atmosphere for staff and residents. Currently hiring LPN Supervisors for Full Time Nights, Part Time Nights, and Part Time Evenings.

What will I do?

Resident Rights:

  • Ensures protected health information is kept confidential
  • Reports complaints/concerns made by residents to supervisor
  • Reports allegations of resident abuse, neglect and/or misappropriation of resident property
  • Treat all residents fairly, and with kindness, dignity, and respect. 

Safety and Sanitation

  • Follows established safety policies and procedures
  • Wears and/or uses safety equipment and supplies when indicated and properly trained to use
  • Demonstrates job specific knowledge of fire and disaster preparedness during drills or actual situations

Staff Development

  • Attends and participates in scheduled in-service training and educational classes
  • Participates in QAA program
  • Completes annual dementia and personal care annual trainings.
  • Completes and may participate in annual skills competencies.
  • Provides education to LPN's, Med Techs, and personal care aides as needed.
  • Participates in reading report daily.
  • Rounds on each floor to get updates on acute issues with residents daily.
  • Works on the floor as needed to assist with calls offs.
  • Able to address personal care aides, Med techs, and LPN about issues surrounding job performance.
  • Follows universal precautions, proper infection control, sanitation and safety standards of practice in all work and activities.
  • Observes residents, identifies changing needs and conditions.
  • Assists with orientation of new staff as needed.
  • Accurately documents information as required by the resident's condition
  • Assists as needed with meal service
  • Completes assignments timely.
  • Provides accurate medication administration and documentation following physician orders, DPW guidelines and PV policies.
  • Informs administration, physicians and resident families of changes in resident's conditions.
  • Responds to campus emergencies, completes reporting and documentation.
  • Accurately transcribes physician orders and all medical records and reporting forms.
  • Ensures desk coverage when responding to campus emergencies.
  • Maintains effective 24hr. reporting and monitors staff for completion of work assignments, assisting with resident care as necessary.
  • Accurately and timely completes fall, incident and med error reporting.
  • Maintains resident clinical charts, updates and reviews support plans.
  • Attends department meetings, training programs, and learning circles.
  • Assists with new resident admissions and transfers including orienting new residents to unit routines and activities.
  • Completes rounds to observe and check on resident's safety and comfort
  • Establishes and maintains good public relations with residents, families and other center guests and shows empathy towards residents
  • Reports observations concerning structural, equipment, and furniture defects and malfunctioning to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintains confidentiality of necessary information
  • Utilizes supplies and equipment properly and without waste
  • Thinks and acts calmly and logically to meet unusual occurrences of the job without being thrown off stride

Requires:

  • Minimum one year nursing experience, supervision, clinical, education experience in dementia care, personal care, restorative nursing, long-term care.
  • Current CPR and First aid certification.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
  • LPN with current PA license.
  • Ability to communicate with residents and staff. Must have the ability to read and write the English language
